The Cloister

The primary room block for the wedding is at The Cloister, Sea Island's resort hotel. All wedding events will be on property and easily accessible if staying at The Cloister. Resort guests have full access to all of Sea Island's amenities including the Sea Island Beach Club, spa, fitness center, golf courses, tennis facilities, etc. The Cloister is a really special place and we would love to see you there!

Cottages at Sea Island

If you are interested in staying in a house, Sea Island does offer "cottage" rentals for homes located on the island. There is no room block or discounted rate for cottages. These can be booked through the official Sea Island website by following the link below. Cottage guests have access to full resort amenities if booked directly through Sea Island.

The Inn

An alternative hotel for guests is The Inn, which is located on St. Simons Island just a few minutes drive from the main resort property. Transportation will be provided from The Inn to all wedding events.

Please Note: Guests staying at this property will not have access to The Beach Club or other exclusive Sea Island Resort amenities.

Airbnb & VRBOs

There are typically a handful of house rentals available on Airbnb and VRBO, both on St. Simons Island and on Sea Island itself. If booking through outside sites, access to resort amenities is typically not included. Some properties offer add-on resort access, but this varies. Review listings carefully if you are looking to have resort access.

Beach Club

The Sea Island Beach Club has access to five miles of beach, plus three pools, beach bars, Hobie Cat sailboats, kayaks, paddleboards, and a water slide (Tim will definitely try to convince you to go down it). We also love just walking down the beach and catching glimpses of dolphins out in the ocean. Towels, chairs, and umbrellas provided.

Arguably one of our favorite things to do at Sea Island! We love dinner at Tavola or the Georgian Room, drinks at the River Bar or the Oak Room, and the can't-miss Goldbrick Sundae at Wonderland.

Golf

As host of the PGA Tour's RSM Classic, Sea Island has three great golf courses available to play. Golf is located at The Lodge, another Sea Island property on St. Simons. If you like a little less golf and a little more happy hour, you can also stop by the 18-hole putting course at The Lodge with a cocktail in hand from the Oak Room.

Sports

Tennis, pickleball, squash, shooting, horseback riding, bowling, and fishing are all available. We also love to rent bikes at the beach club and ride around the island!

The spa and fitness center are across the road from The Cloister and have just about everything you can think of, including a fully equipped gym, fitness classes, an indoor lap pool, sauna and steam rooms, and full spa and salon services.

For lunch, stop by Southern Soul for the best BBQ in Georgia, or The Market for quick sandwiches to go. We like Sal's for pizza, and Del Sur for a really great dinner.

Will there be transportation for guests staying off property?

transportation will be provided to and from The Inn at Sea Island to all events

What is the dress code for the ancillary events?

Be classy, but comfortable. No black tie needed!

Are kids allowed to join for the reception?

Unfortunately, this is a kids-free reception! But, we have resources available to watch your little loved ones, so feel free to reach out to us and we can help.

Brunswick

Brunswick Golden Isles Airport (BQK) is the closest airport to Sea Island, an approximately 25 minute drive to the resort. All Brunswick flights come in daily through Atlanta via Delta.

Savannah

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) is located approximately 90 minutes north of Sea Island and similarly has flights from across the country.

Jacksonville

Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is just over an hour south of Sea Island and has flights that come in from all over the country.
